Его главные отличительные особенности по заявлению представителей компании – «утончённость» корпуса (всего 49 мм в высоту) и поддержку внешнего модуля беспроводной связи Wi-Fi.<br /><br />Согласно спецификации, новинка поддерживает расширенные функции работы в локальной сети, функции VIERA CAST и VIERA LINK. Что касается модуля беспроводной связи DY-WL10, о он не будет поставляться в комплекте – покупать его придётся отдельно. <br /><br />Новый проигрыватель Panasonic оснащён процессором PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus, отвечающим за декодирование звуковых форматов Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio Essential по схеме 7.1. Также плеер имеет встроенный картридер с поддержкой SD (SDXC) Memory card и USB-порт для подключения модуля беспроводной связи. Также известно, что помимо видео, аппарат имеет поддержку графических файлов JPEG и может проигрывать музыкальные композиции в MP3.<br /><br />Среди типов поддерживаемых оптических носителей стоит отметить штампованные CD, DVD, BD и их записываемые версии. В остальном плеер вполне стандартен. Он поддерживает BD-Live и оснащён интерфейсом HDMI версии 1.3, обеспечивая выходной сигнал с разрядностью 12 бит на канал.<br /><br />В японской рознице аппарат появиться уже в следующем месяце. В США – весной этого года. Ориентировочная розничная цена новинки составит сумму, эквивалентную 436 американским долларам.   <br />
