В новинке Philips применяется технология Dolby Virtual виртуализации аудио, которая обеспечивает насыщенный, объемный звук из 2-канальной акустической системы. Воспроизведение DVD улучшено благодаря расширению 2-канального звука. В сочетании с обработкой Dolby Pro Logic II источник стереосигнала преобразуется в многоканальный объемный звук. При этом беспроводной сабвуфер можно расположить отдельно, а основной блок и колонки разместить на стене.<br /><br />Цифровой интерфейс передачи данных HDMI 1080p с повышением качества видео, которым оснащен Philips HES4900, обеспечивает четкость изображения. Прогрессивная развертка заменяет строчную структуру картинки, характерную для ТВ экранов. Кроме того, интерфейс HDMI позволяет осуществить прямое цифровое подключение, способное выполнять передачу видео в несжатом цифровом формате HD, а также передачу многоканального цифрового аудио без необходимости конвертировать сигнал в аналоговый.<br /><br />Новая система оснащена USB протоколом, который используется для связи ПК, периферийных устройств и другого электронного оборудования. В модели Philips HES4900 реализована функция воспроизведения файлов MP3 напрямую с портативных устройств - MP3 Link. Кроме того, технология EasyLink позволяет управлять несколькими устройствами EasyLink с помощью одного пульта ДУ.
