Блокбастер недели: WD TV Live HD и прошивка-убийца

По сообщению некоторых западных сайтов со ссылкой на форумы Western Digital, мультимедийные проигрыватели WD TV Live HD, для которых было недавно выпущено обновление прошивки (версии 1.01.12), стали массово выходить из строя после процедуры загрузки этого программного обеспечения. Раздосадованные владельцы WD TV Live HD утверждают, что после заливки микропрограммы устройство уходит на перезагрузку и стартует уже с «чёрным экраном смерти».

Сообщается также, что производитель в курсе возникшей проблемы, хотя и не отреагировал на неё официально. Так что пользователям «убитых» WD TV остаётся только ждать и надеяться на скорое разрешение проблемы. Отметим также, что злополучная версия микропрограммы убрана с официального сайта производителя. Тем не менее, всем владельцам WD TV нужно быть крайне осмотрительными при скачивании обновлений ПО с неофициальных источников. Напоминаем, пошивка-убийца имеет версию 1.01.12.
