Многие ведущие производители электроники уже начали выпуск устройств, способных работать со стереоизображением, или планируют сделать это в ближайшем будущем. К примеру, японская корпорация Sony заявила, что половина ее новых телевизоров к 2013 году будет обладать 3D функциональностью. Однако претворение в жизнь столь амбициозных планов будет в немалой степени зависеть от доступности соответствующего контента.<br /><br />Как заявил исполнительный вице-президент Sony Хироси Йосиока (Hiroshi Yoshioka), от 30 до 50 процентов всех фирменных телевизоров, проданных к концу 2013 финансового года компании (то есть до 31 марта 2013 года), будет относиться к 3D устройствам. Напомним, впервые электронный гигант объявил о своих глобальных планах по продаже 3D телевизоров в минувшем сентябре. При этом, по данным Wall Street Journal, японская корпорация рассчитывает заработать на продаже продукции с 3D функциональностью один триллион иен (примерно 11,4 миллиарда долларов).<br /><br />Напомним, перед открытием традиционной выставки IFA, прошедшей в сентябре 2009 года в немецком Берлине, глава Sony сэр Говард Стрингер (Howard Stringer) обнародовал планы по выпуску ноутбуков Vaio и Blu-ray плееров с поддержкой 3D технологии. Кроме того, Sony пообещала в будущем году представить прошивку для игровой консоли PlayStation 3, в которой появится поддержка стереоизображения.
