Являясь одним из двух производителей OLED-дисплеев в мире, LG, вслед за Sony, начнёт продажи первых телевизоров, основанных на новой технологии уже в ноябре. В 2010 году в планах LG стоит выпуск телевизоров с диагональю 20 дюймов и выше, в 2011 – 30 дюймов и выше, в 2012 – 40 дюймов. Согласно заявлению Кима, в 2012 году 40-дюймовые панели будут оставаться весьма дорогими, и станут доступными к 2016 году. К этому времени их себестоимость будет даже ниже, чем у аналогичных по диагонали ЖК-панелей.<br /><br />Безусловно, нам очень хотелось бы, чтобы эти обещания сбылись, но, учитывая колоссальные инвестиции в развитие ЖК-технологий сегодня, в столь скорое и радужное будущее OLED верится с трудом…<br />
