Мы уже писали ранее об успехах внебрачного дитя HD-DVD — China Blue HD — на своей родине. О том, как он оставил в Китае далеко позади себя победивший в войне форматов Blu-ray за счёт гораздо более привлекательных цен на контент и оборудование. Как стало известно на днях, известный британский импортёр оборудования GBAX неожиданно для всех начал экспериментальную продажу небольшой партии проигрывателей China Blue HD. Как водится — для определения спроса на новую продукцию, реальную альтернативу Blu-ray.

Безусловно, для многих цена в 259.99 фунтов стерлингов (примерно 413 американских долларов) за комплект, состоящий из самого проигрывателя, полного набора межблочных кабелей и 14 CBHD-фильмов («Авиатор», «Кровавый Алмаз», «Вторжение», «Остров», «Наводнение», «Посейдон» и 8 китайских картин) может показаться слегка завышенной. Тем не менее, факт остаётся фактом. У Blu-ray снова может появиться конкурент и не в рамках одной страны. И конкурент этот уже весьма отчётливо «нарисовался» на горизонте...
