Модель LD4200tm имеет диагональ экрана в 42 дюйма и физическое разрешение 1920х1080 точек. Для обеспечения мыльти-сенсорной функциональности используется комбинация из оптических и инфракрасных датчиков. Они способны распознать две независимых точки прикосновения, что необходимо для реализации таких функций, как увеличение объектов на экране или их поворот, наподобии того, как это происходит в iPhone. Применение сенсоров, по заверению инженеров HP, является менее дорогим решением, нежели применение специального чувствительного слоя, наносимого на экран.<br /><br />Предназначение нового дисплея — работа в общественных местах, где его можно будет использовать для отображения интерактивных карт или электронной витрины магазина. Единственное условие — наличие операционной системы, поддерживающей сенсорное управление.<br /><br />Качество изображения новинки находится на достаточно высоком уровне для сенсорных экранов такой диагонали. Согласно заявленным производителем характеристикам, угол обзора панели равен 178 градусам, характеристика отношения контраста — 3 000:1, скорость отклика пикселов — 9 мс. Заявленный цветовой охват равен 72 процентам. Для реализации сенсорной функциональности дисплея, предусмотрено его подключение по USB к ПК. При этом LD4200tm имеет и набор стандартных терминалов: HDMI, VGA, Y/Pb/Pr, S-Video и CVBS.<br /><br />В продаже новинка должна появиться в декабре по цене $2 799.
