Компания Sony представила новую серию мультимедийных систем VAIO L Touch HD PC/TV. Данные устройства можно назвать как телевизором с компьютерными функциями, так и компьютером “все-в-одном”. Причем, управление различными опциями осуществляется через большой сенсорный экран с multi-touch интерфейсом.

Система Sony VAIO L Touch HD PC/TV оснащена 24-дюймовым широкоформатным дисплеем с WUXGA разрешением (1920 × 1080 точек). Таким образом, система способна работать с контентом в FullHD разрешении. Кроме того, некоторые модели в серии получили пишущий Blu-ray привод, что также расширяет их мультимедиа возможности.

Помимо прочего, некоторые модели серии VAIO L Touch HD PC/TV имеют встроенный тюнер, позволяющий подключаться к цифровым кабельным сетям, а также принимать эфирный телесигнал высокого разрешения. В последнем случае, естественно, потребуется телевизионная антенна.

Доступен и опциональный порт HDMI для подключения к совместимым блокам приема кабельного телевидения, приемнику спутниковой связи либо игровой консоли PlayStation 3. Кроме того, система выполняет функции цифрового видеорекордера, емкости хватает для записи 100 часов телепередач.

Sony VAIO L Touch HD PC/TV поставляется с операционной системой Windows 7 Home Premium либо Windows 7 Professional, дающей возможность реализовать сенсорные функции, а также встроенным модулем Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Кроме того, система оснащена процессором Intel Core 2 Quad (отдельные модели) и графикой NVIDIA GeForce, позволяющей не только смотреть фильмы в HD-разрешении, но и играть в видеоигры. Sony VAIO L Touch HD PC/TV уже доступна для предварительных заказов по стартовой цене около 1300 долларов.
