Сейчас опальный ресурс физически размещен на серверах одной из украинских хостинговых компаний. При этом файлообменный трафик идет через голландского провайдера NForce, использующего, в свою очередь, мощности провайдера LeaseWeb. Именно к NForce и обратилась организация BREIN, занимающаяся борьбой с интеллектуальным пиратством, с просьбой блокировать транзитный трафик.<br /><br />Причем, сначала BREIN обратилась с подобной просьбой в LeaseWeb, однако там им ответили, что они лишь перенаправляют транзитный трафик и не занимаются хостингом The Pirate Bay. Однако в NForce голландские борцы с пиратством, видимо, встретили большее понимание. В результате торрент-трекер оказался недоступен для своих пользователей на некоторое время.<br /><br />Без сомнения, создатели The Pirate Bay вскоре найдут выход из создавшегося положения, и любимый многими ресурс вновь вернется в сеть. Однако эксперты TorrentFreak не без основания опасаются, что создан прецедент, когда провайдер согласился на отключение от сети стороннего ресурса. Таким образом, организации, подобные BREIN, смогут оказывать давление на провайдеров, добиваясь прекращения работы неугодных сайтов.
