Судя по информации, появившейся на просторах сети Интернет, мультимедийный Full HD проигрыватель Asus HDP-R1 (O!Play) с поддержкой видео высокой чёткости, ожидаемый армией поклонников продукции этого тайваньского производителя, наконец появился в американской рознице. Его рекомендованная розничная цена $99.99.

Напомним, что анонс плеера O!Play был опубликован Asus ещё в июне. И с тех пор в характеристиках плеера практически ничего не изменилось. Он по-прежнему призван воспроизводить видеоконтент, размещённый как в локальной сети и интернете посредством встроенной сетевой карты, так и с внешних носителей с интерфейсами USB 2.0 и eSATA. В качестве центрально процессора был выбран чип Realtek 1073.

Среди поддерживаемых форматов видео присутствуют Mpeg 1, 2, 4, DIVX (1920×1080p), H.264, VC-1, RM/RMVB, AVI, VOB, MOV, MKV, ASF, Xvid, WMV. Аудиочасть представлена кодеками Mp3, WAV, PCM/LPCM, AAC, Dolby Digital, FLAC, DTS (!), AIFF, OGG. Поддерживаемые субтитры: SRT, SUB, SMI, SSA. Проигрыватель позволяет просматривать статические изображения в форматах JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF. На основной терминальной панели размещен один порт HDMI, композитный видеовыход, цифровой оптический выход звука типа Toslink и аналоговая стереопара. Также там можно найти разъём RJ45 для подключения устройства к локальной сети. На левой боковой панели плеера расположен один порт USB 2.0 и один порт eSATA.
