Переосмысление жизненных приоритетов, порождённое мировым финансовым кризисом, заставило подавляющее большинство поклонников высококачественной и отнюдь не дешёвой видеотехники, выпускаемой, в том числе и компанией Сэма Ранко, обходить High End стороной, предпочитая более доступные компромиссные решения.

Судя по всему, в компании Runco решили гибко отреагировать на подобные тенденции. Результатом стал выход проектора серии LightStyle — LS-3, рекомендованная розничная цена которого заявлена на уровне $4 995. Не так уж и дёшево, конечно, но, в сравнении с большинством реальных конкурентов, цена кажется вполне оправданной. Даже в условиях текущего финансового кризиса.

Напомним, что LS-3 оснащён DLP-матрицей с разрешением 1920×1080 (1080p) и относится к классу Full HD видеопроекторов. Из фирменных «ранковских» разаработок, здесь представлены ConstantContrast, Vivix enhancement и Runco image processing, что в совокупности позволило добиться солидного для проектора показателя отношения контраста в 10 000:1.
