И, соответственно, они были учтены при создании его преемника — Blu-Ray проигрывателя BDP-5004, рабочий прототип которого был показан на выставке CEDIA в Атланте.<br /><br />Проделанная работа над ошибками весьма заметна. В отличие от предшественника, BDP-5004 имеет полноценную поддержку BD-Live версии 2.0, встроенный декодер пространственного звучания, работающий по схеме 5.1 и, помимо стандартных форматов, поддерживающий Dolby TrueHD и DTS-HD MA. Кроме того, на передней панели плеера теперь расположен порт USB, посредством которого к аппарату можно подключить внешний носитель информации и воспроизводить с него видеофайлы, записанные в формате DiVX.<br /><br />В американской рознице проигрыватель Sherwood BDP-5004 появится в октябре. Его рекомендованная розничная цена составит 200 американских долларов. О сроках появления аппарата в Европе, а тем более в России, увы, не сообщается.<br /><br />
