Коммутация приставки будет осуществляться при помощи стандартного проводного 100-мегабитного сетевого интерфейса. Таким образом, она будет получать доступ к ресурсам локальной сети и Интернет.<br /><br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2009-09/1252579797_netgear2.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Простенький и мультимедийный Netgear' title='Простенький и мультимедийный Netgear' /></div><br />Согласно данным производителя, Digital Entertainer Live будет поддерживать VOD от таких провайдеров, как CinemaNow, показывать Онлайн-ТВ VuNow, воспроизводить различные файлы (в том числе и записанные в контейнере MKV) по локальной сети и посредством подключения внешних носителей по USB. В недалёком будущем планируется выпуск USB-модуля Wi-Fi 802.11n, совместимого с приставкой. Кроме того, разработчики не исключают, что максимальное выходное разрешение будет повышено в следующих версиях прошивки. Идёт ли речь о 1920&#215;1080 — не ясно.<br /><br />Согласно данным некоторых российских источников, приставка Netgear Digital Entertainer Live будет поставляться в Россию с ноября 2009 г. по рекомендованной розничной цене 7 тыс. руб. В Америке же она уже доступна. Только ценя лучше — всего 150 долларов США.
