Этот скачок будет обусловлен, по их мнению, сильно возросшим спросом на устройства этого типа в развивающихся странах.<br /><br />Саймон Кэнг, исполнительный директор корейской штаб-квартиры LG Electronics, отвечающий за направление аудио- и видеотехники, заявил, что по его расчётам в этом году будет продано не менее 17 миллионов ЖК-телевизоров LG, а в 2010 году их количество возрастёт до 25 миллионов. Примечателен и тот факт, что в 2008 году компанией LG было продано только 10.5 миллионов телевизоров, в которых использовались ЖК-дисплеи.
