Особо отмечается, что совместимость с популярным ныне интернет детищем компании Google будет добавлена не только в новые модели, но и в большинство старых. И, как несложно догадаться, расширение функционала будет осуществлено посредством заливки новой версии программного обеспечения (firmware). Кроме вышеупомянутого сервиса, проигрыватели Samsung получат полноценную поддержку контейнера MKV. А в недалёком будущем разработчики обещают добавить в прошивку возможность просмотра фильмов, распространяемых Blockbuster по принципу Video On Demand («Видео По Запросу»).<br /><br />Что примечательно, на проходящей в настоящее время выставке IFA, представители Samsung заявили, что поддержка YouTube будет реализована дополнительно в комплектных домашних кинотеатрах модельного ряда 2009 года. Среди них: HT-BD1250, HT-BD7200, HT-BD8200, HT-BD3252. Впрочем, о точных сроках появления соответствующих прошивок для этих устройств не сообщается. Предположительно, произойдёт это «чуть позже в этом году».
