Как и предполагалось ранее, «малыш» ASUS будет оснащён процессором Atom N330, жёстким диском ёмкостью в 250 гигабайт, будет иметь 2 гигабайта оперативной памяти, гигабитную сетевую карту и модуль беспроводной сети Wi-Fi, работающий по стандарту 802.11n.<br /><br />Как и модель первого поколения, EB1012 весьма компактен. Его габариты составляют всего 222&#215;178 &#215; 26 мм, а масса 1.1 кг. Что примечательно, производитель использовал в новинке видеокарту Nvidia MCP7A Ion, которая способна осуществлять аппаратное декодирование видеопотока в стандартных и HD-разрешениях, вплоть до 1080p, а также имеет на борту порт HDMI. Из особенностей аудиотракта отметим наличие цифрового S/PDIF интерфейса с поддержкой многоканального звука 5.1<br /><br />Кроме того, небезынтересным будет упомянуть о наличии встроенного универсального устройства чтения для карт памяти (включая SDHC), четырёх USB-портов и одного разъёма eSATA для подключения внешних жёстких дисков.<br /><br />Новый мини-компьютер ASUS будет доступен в двух цветовых решениях — белом и чёрном. О ценах, увы, пока ничего не сообщается.
