И развитие HDTV здесь не исключение. Публикация статистических данных из-за океана может быть весьма интересной, хоть и не актуальной локально.<br /><br />Согласно отчёту ассоциации Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, американский рынок HDTV в последнее время значительно вырос. Так, в 2009 году более 53 % домов и квартир в США оснащены оборудованием для просмотра HDTV. За год рост составил около 18 %.<br />Настоящий бум HDTV ожидается после того, как завершится полный переход на цифровое телевидение в штатах в этом году и американцы начнут активно обновлять парк своих телевизоров. В отчёте также упоминается, что 69 % владельцев HDTV-совместимых телевизоров оформили подписку на соответствующие HD-каналы. Этот показатель в 2008 году составлял 56 %.<br /><br />Домов, оснащенных телевизорами с диагональю 32 дюйма и выше, стало также больше — 59 % против 52 % в 2008 году. В докладе также сообщается, что в 71 % домов есть персональный компьютер, и в 40 % — игровая приставка.
