Особенностью новинок являются встроенные Blu-Ray рекордеры, позволяющие записывать видео в высоком разрешении, длительность которого может превышать стандартный хронометраж Blu-Ray в семь раз. И, как утверждают в компании, «без потери качества». Безусловно, достигнуть этого можно лишь за счёт уменьшения битрейта. Заявление же, что этот «фокус» не затронет качество картинки, на наш взгляд, весьма и весьма смелое.<br /><br />Новые телевизоры будут иметь следующие диагонали экрана: 26, 32, ,40, 46 и 52 дюйма. Последние три модели будут иметь разрешение 1920&#215;1080 (1080p), характеристику отношения контраста 15000:1 и три HDMI-входа. В свою очередь, два «младших» телевизора будут иметь разрешение 1366&#215;768 (720p), контраст 7000:1 и два порта HDMI каждый. Все новинки могут быть подключены к сети Интернет при помощи встроенной сетевой карты и совместимы с BD-Live, IPTV и Yahoo Japan.<br /><br />Кроме того, поддержка гида программ позволит производить отложенную запись с двух встроенных цифровых тюнеров и одного аналогового. Запись программ осуществляется в формате H.264 AVC и перекодируются для записи на двухслойные 50-гигабайтные Blu-Ray диски, способные вместить до 30 часов HD-видео.<br /><br />Появление новинок в японской рознице ожидается 10 сентября этого года. Рекомендованные цены будут эквивалентны $5048 за 58", $3993 за 46", $2943 за 40", $2000 за 32" и $1787 за 26". Три младшие модели будут представлены в белом, красном и чёрном вариантах отделки корпуса. Две старшие — только в белом и чёрном.
