По информации издания BGR, совместимость с этим форматом получат все компьютеры Apple iMac нового модельного ряда. Будут ли новые iMac по умолчанию оснащаться Blu-Ray приводами и какие именно модели — пока остаётся загадкой.<br /><br />Глава компании Стив Джобс некогда нелестно отозвался о Blu-Ray, окрестив его «мешком с головной болью» из-за присущих формату проблем с реализацией всего разнообразия защит и лицензионных ограничений. Эти слова стали тогда определяющими в выборе Apple вектора в сторону поддержки в iTunes интернет-сервисов, предоставляющих пользователю возможность смотреть фильмы в разрешении 720p. Преградой же к тому, чтобы выкладывать в интернет-магазине кинофильмы и видеопрограммы в разрешении 1080p, остаётся недостаточная для этого средняя пропускная способность мировой паутины. Тем не менее, вызовам времени нужно соответствовать...<br /><br />Получат ли эти слухи реальное подтверждение, мы увидим в самое ближайшее время. А пока остаётся только ждать.<br />
