Как и в случае с GZ-X900, новинка позволяет записывать видео в формате H.264 при разрешении 1080i, но имеет более привычное, традиционное исполнение. Что касается оснащения, то здесь стоит особо отметить наличие 10,2-мегапиксельной матрицы, позволяющей делать полноценные фотографии. В свою очередь, качественный объектив, разработанный Konica-Minolta, весьма эффективно борется с хроматическими аберрациями и обладает десятикратным коэффициентом масштабирования (ZOOM). В качестве носителя информации камера использует 32 гигабайта встроенной памяти, но присутствует и дополнительный слот SDHC, поддерживающий карты памяти с объемом также до 32 гигабайт.<br /><br />Среди особенностей Everio GZ-HM400 внимания заслуживает функция замедленной съемки при 600 кадров в секунду и возможность экспорта отснятого материала напрямую в iTunes и YouTube для Windows. Для пользователей MAC предусмотрена аналогичная поддержка iMovie и Final Cut.<br /><br />Новинка поступит в продажу на территории Японии восьмого августа этого года. Ее цена составит примерно $1156. О сроках появления новинки на американском и европейском рынках не сообщается. Хотя производитель не скрывает, что в самом скором времени новые модели будут представлены и в западных странах.
