Возросший спрос на продукцию Sky HD (особенно их предложение программ в HD качестве) и платного телевидения в целом, способствовали не только росту популярности британского спутникового платного ТВ оператора Sky Digital , но способствовали получению им наилучших финансовых результатов за последние пять лет.

По итогам маркетингового отчёта за истёкший 30 июня 2009 года финансовый год, Sky Digital увеличил доходы на 7% - до 5.32 млн. фунтов. Средний доход от одного абонента вырос до 464 фунтов в год, а операционная прибыль увеличилась на 4% и составила 780 млн. фунтов.

Платформа имеет в настоящее время 9 млн. 442 абонентов с динамикой ежегодного прироста в 462 тыс. - это наибольшее количество за последние пять лет.

На 16% выросло количество клиентов, использующих доступ до каналов Sky Digital посредством спутниковой доставки сигнала. Источниками получения дохода также является такая деятельность оператора, как предоставление телевизионных услуг, широкополосный интернет и телефония. Количество клиентов подобных видов услуг оператора за год вырос на 11%.
