Процессор Intel Core i5 и Core i7 поступят в продажу в начале сентября

Первый процессор Intel серии Core i5 под кодовым названием Lynnfield поступит в продажу 6 сентября 2009 г., сообщает Reg Hardware. Процессоры Core i5 рассчитаны на стандартные настольные компьютеры, в отличие от Core i7, предназначенных для рабочих станций.

Первым процессором серии Core i5 станет Core i5 750. Его стандартная тактовая частота составит 2,66 ГГц. При этом чип сможет самостоятельно повышать это значение до 3,2 ГГц в случае необходимости и не перегревая систему. Чип оснащен интегрированным контроллером оперативной памяти DDR3 и поддерживает частоту системной шины 1333 МГц. Объем кэш-памяти L3 составляет 8 МБ, столько же, сколько в других процессорах на архитектуре Nehalem.

Core i5 750 оснащен поддержкой технологии виртуализации VT-x. В процессорах Core i7 860 и 870, выход которых также планируется 6 сентября, помимо VT-x, будет присутствовать VT-d. Еще одним преимуществом этих двух чипов над Core i5 750 станет наличие технологии Hyper-Threading. Тактовые частоты Core i7 860 и 870 составят 2,8 и 2,93 ГГц с возможностью увеличения до 3,46 и 3,60 ГГц соответственно.

TDP (максимальное выделение тепла) всех трех процессоров составит 95 Вт. Стоимость i5-750 – $196, i7-860 – $284 и i7-870 – $562 за штуку в партии из 1000 процессоров. Новые модели процессоров серии Core i5 ожидаются в 1-м квартале 2010 г.
