Чистые убытки Philips за полгода составили €12 млн

Чистые убытки европейского производителя бытовой электроники Philips за 1-ю половину 2009 г. составили €12 млн против прибыли в размере €1,03 млрд за аналогичный период годом ранее, сообщает РБК. Объем продаж за указанный период сократился на 17% до €10,31 млрд, тогда как в 1-м полугодии 2008 г. продажи Philips составили €12,43 млрд.

По итогам 2-го квартала текущего года чистая прибыль Philips составила €45 млн, что на 94% меньше показателя в €735 млн за 2-й квартал прошлого года. Объем продаж компании за данный период снизился на 19%, составив €5,23 млрд против €6,46 млрд год назад.

До конца текущего года Philips намерена сократить 6 тыс. рабочих мест, что поможет ей достичь ежегодной экономии более €500 млн к концу 2009 г. В компании отметили, что предпринятые в прошлом меры по сокращению расходов уже принесли первые положительные результаты.
