Другим достоинством моделей является возможность съемки видео с разрешением 1920 x 1080 пикселей (Full HD). <br /><br />В камерах реализована новая технология стабилизации изображения — Optical SteadyShot вкупе с Active Mode, благодаря которой обеспечивается повышенная четкость картинки при случайном перемещении камеры в пространстве. Стабилизация по вертикали и горизонтали обеспечивается за счет автоматического смещения сенсора в направлении, обратном сдвигу камеры. Стабилизация при случайном перемещении в остальных направлениях выполняется средствами процессора. По сравнению с моделями камер, в которых используется только Optical SteadyShot, дополнительная технология Active Mode обеспечивает до 10 раз более четкое изображение, отмечается в пресс-релизе. <br /><br />Обе камеры позволяют делать фотоснимки с разрешением 12 МП, оснащены функциями Face Detection, Smile Shutter и Face Touch. Функция Face Detection фокусируется на лицах людей в кадре, Smile Shutter спускает затвор по улыбке человека в кадре и Face Touch позволяет выбрать произвольный объект фокусировки на 3-дюймовом сенсорном дисплее-видоискателе. Обе модели обладают встроенным GPS-приемником, который фиксирует глобальные координаты пользователя при каждой съемке. Модель CX520VE оснащена 64 ГБ внутренней памяти, которая позволяет сохранить до 25 видео высокой четкости в режиме LP. Вторая модель обладает вдвое меньшей емкостью. Помимо внутренней памяти, обе модели обладают слотом для карт памяти формата Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo. <br /><br />В Европе новинки появятся в продаже в августе 2009 г. по цене $1300 и $1100 соответственно. <br />
