Он будет продаваться с предустановленной операционной системой Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. Его стоимость в США составит $500. <br /><br />Компьютер оборудован процессором Intel Atom N280 с тактовой частотой 1,66 ГГц, 1 ГБ оперативной памяти, 160-ГБ жестким диском, интегрированной поддержкой Bluetooth, двумя USB-портами и экраном с диагональю 10,1 дюйма. Разрешение экрана составляет 1366 x 768 пикселей, больше по сравнению с традиционным матрицами. <br /><br />Благодаря встроенной поддержке стандарта DLNA и специальному предустановленному ПО, пользователи нетбука смогут отправлять звуковые файлы, изображения и видеофайлы с диска компьютера по беспроводной связи на Sony PlayStation 3 и другие совместимые устройства, равно как и принимать такие файлы с DLNA-устройств. Новинка появится в трех цветовых решениях: полностью белом; белом корпусе с коричневыми окантовкой экрана, крышкой и дном; то же, но в розовом исполнении. <br /><br />Напомним, что портфолио Sony уже включает мобильный компьютер Vaio P, который можно сравнить с нетбуком. Однако иной форм-фактор не позволяет в полной мере поместить его в разряд таких компьютеров. Vaio P построен на той же платформе, что и представленный нетбук (Intel Atom), и предлагается с Windows Vista. Стоимость этого устройства также не вписывается в термин нетбука. Так, на российском рынке она составляет около 35 тыс. руб. <br /><br />Компания Sony одной из последних присоединилась к производителям нетбуков. HP, Dell, Acer и Toshiba выпускают такие компьютеры с прошлого года. Нетбук — небольшой и, как правило, сравнительно дешевый ноутбук, возможностей которого достаточно для выхода в интернет и недостаточно для решения более сложных задач. Фактически, нетбук является ни чем иным, как обычным субноутбуком, с тем лишь исключением, что имеет относительно доступную цену. Первый нетбук был представлен в 2007 г. компанией Asustek, однако особую популярность такие лэптопы снискали лишь годом позже, в разгар кризиса. <br /><br />По итогам 1-го квартала 2009 г. лидером на рынке нетбуков стала компания Acer, доля которой составила около 30%. Первопроходец Asustek, модельный ряд которого включает более десятка нетбуков, на втором месте.
