По данным компании In-Stat, сетевые игровые консоли являются самыми популярными устройствами для передачи веб-видео на телевизоры в США и, предполагается, что такая ситуация сохранится до 2013 года.
Было выявлено, что порядка 29% американских пользователей в возрасте от 25 до 34 лет предпочитают игровые консоли для просмотра видео потока из интернета.
До 2013 года цифры будут расти – более 10.7 миллионов консолей будут использоваться в качестве Web-to-TV медиа устройства в США.
Спектр устройств бытовой электроники, способной к передаче веб-видео, будет также расширяться, включая ТВ приставки, Blu-ray плееры, HD телевизоры, медиа центры PC.
По словам аналитика Keith Nissen из In-Stat, 'к 2013 году прибыль от Web-to-TV передачи вырастит до $2.9 billion'.
