Компания Hewlett-Packard пополнила линейку своих портативных компьютеров моделью Pavilion dv2z.

Ноутбук ориентирован на студентов и пользователей, которым необходим тонкий и легкий лэптоп с относительно небольшим энергопотреблением. Новинка выполнена на основе процессора AMD Athlon Neo MV-40, работающего на тактовой частоте 1,6 ГГц и имеющего 512 кб кеш-памяти второго уровня. Объем оперативной памяти может достигать 4 Гб, емкость жесткого диска (скорость вращения шпинделя — 5 400 оборотов в минуту) — 500 Гб.

Портативный компьютер оснащен 12,1-дюймовым дисплеем с разрешением WXGA (1280х800 точек) и светодиодной подсветкой. За вывод изображения отвечает графический адаптер ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410. Лэптоп укомплектован контроллером беспроводной связи Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n), оптическим приводом SuperMulti (допускается установка дисковода с поддержкой формата Blu-ray) и шестиячеечной аккумуляторной батареей.

Размеры Pavilion dv2z — 288х236х23-32 мм, вес — около 1,7 кг. Компьютер стоит от $600 и поставляется вместе с операционной системой Windows Vista Home Premium, а также программным пакетом HP MediaSmart, обеспечивающим централизованный доступ к мультимедийному контенту.

Вместе с новым ноутбуком компания Hewlett-Packard представила несколько бюджетных принтеров для учащихся, в том числе беспроводные устройства Photosmart Plus стоимостью $150 и Photosmart C4780 за $130.
