Завод расположен в Малайзии и стал собственностью WD в 2007 г. вместе с приобретением Komag. <br /><br />По словам официальных представителей Hitachi, данный шаг позволит укрепить положение компании на рынке магнтных носителей информации. Кроме того, купленная площадка расположена вблизи с заводами Hitachi, что очень удобно. <br /><br />О финансовой стороне сделки неизвестно.<br />
