По данным NPD, отслеживающей розничные продажи, в первом квартале этого года продажи Blu Ray выросли на 72% по сравнению с прошлым годом, составив более 400 000 устройств.<br /><br />Исследование, в котором приняли участие 6 994 человек, показало, что о новом формате осведомлено 90% опрошенных. Также было выяснено, что при покупке ключевым фактором является цена. С прошлого года средние цены на Blu Ray плееры опустились с $393 до $261. Это и стало основной причиной роста продаж.
