Это означает окончание долгих тестов, которые были начаты еще в ноябре 2007 года. Подписаны соглашения с 50 городскими сетями IPTV, которые предоставляют услуги HDТV для более 200 тыс. хозяйств. Первоначально в услуги HD будут входить только три канала - Canal+ Film HD и Canal+ Sport HD, а также SVT HD - канал шведского общественного телевидения.
