Предполагаемая цена этого телевизора - четыре тысячи долларов. <br /><br />В 2009 году на рынке появится 15-дюймовый OLED-дисплей LG. Первоначально он будет устанавливаться лишь в новый ноутбук Apple, который, как ожидается, представят в июне. К концу года LG выпустит 15-дюймовый монитор или телевизор с OLED-экраном. <br /><br />В марте текущего года сообщалось, что Apple и LG заключили контракт на поставку OLED-дисплеев. Предполагается, что такие экраны появятся в новых iPhone и iPod Touch, а также в нетбуке, который якобы намерена выпустить Apple. <br /><br />Пару дней назад представители LG заявили, что выпустят свои первые OLED-телевизоры в конце текущего года. Они будут стоить как минимум вдвое дороже ЖК-панелей аналогичной диагонали. <br /><br />Прототип OLED-телевизора LG был представлен в октябре 2008 года. Диагональ его экрана составляет 19 дюймов. Тогда руководители LG подчеркивали, что у них пока нет планов по серийному выпуску таких устройств. <br /><br />В настоящее время единственным серийным OLED-телевизором является Sony XEL-1. Диагональ его экрана равна 11 дюймам, розничная цена в США - 2,5 тысячи долларов. В январе текущего года Sony представила прототип OLED-телевизора с 21-дюймовым экраном. <br /><br />В отличие от ЖК-панелей, OLED-телевизоры более тонкие и потребляют мало энергии. Однако их производство весьма дорого. Одна из причин дорогого производства - большой процент брака. Сокращение числа бракованных OLED-панелей является приоритетной задачей LG в 2009 году. <br />
