С помощью новых ёмкостей Premiere планирует увеличить долю HD контента.<br />Premiere запустил HD вещание в 2005 году и на данный момент вещает каналы Premiere HD и Discovery HD.<br /><br />‘’Это соглашение даст новый толчок для развития формата HD в Германии. Premiere, как пионер HD вещания, продолжит развивать формат’’, заявил Alexander Oudendijk, представитель компании Astra. <br /><br />Согласно последним маркетинговым исследованиям, в Германии в 2008 году было продано 219,000 HDTV ресиверов, 80% из которых являются спутниковыми терминалами. <br />
