Корпуса моделей выполнены с использованием фирменной технологии Samsung Crystal Design™: полупрозрачная глянцевая поверхность рамки и призматический внешний край, изменяющий свой оттенок в зависимости от угла зрения. Экраны телевизоров покрыты сверхпрозрачным прочным стеклом, которое не искажает изображение и создает полный эффект присутствия. <br /><br />Новинки оснащены технологией Ultra FilterBright Plus, блокирующей отражение внешнего света и максимизирующей светопропускание ячеек панели лучше, чем в предыдущих моделях плазменных телевизоров. Благодаря этому достигается большая глубина черного цвета. <br /><br />За реалистичное воспроизведение цветов отвечает еще одна новая разработка Samsung — процессор Wide Color Enhancer 3. А функция 600Hz Subfield Motion обеспечивает качественное изображение в динамичных сценах. <br /><br />Плазменные телевизоры Full HD серии 8 оснащены функцией Media@2.0 — сервисной платформой, предлагающей сетевые возможности и позволяющей выходить в интернет прямо с экрана телевизора. В основе этой технологии лежит разработка Yahoo! Widget Engine. <br /><br />Новые плазменные телевизоры Samsung поддерживают протокол беспроводной связи DLNA (с использованием адаптера), который позволяет в реальном времени просматривать на экране телевизора контент, находящийся на компьютере или другом хранилище данных. Благодаря порту USB 2.0 к телевизорам можно подключить различные внешние носители, такие как цифровая камера, карта флеш-памяти, внешний жесткий диск, медиаплеер и т. д. Поддержка различных кодеков, среди которых — популярный в России MKV, а также 3GPP, WMV9 и DivX, позволяет транслировать практически любой контент, включая видео формата Full HD. <br /><br />Компания Samsung проделала большую работу, чтобы сделать плазменные телевизоры максимально экологичными.
