Напомним, ранее компания утверждала, что начнет коммерческий выпуск элементов до наступления апреля месяца. <br /><br />Официальные представители Toshiba не уточняют, с какими именно деталями возникли сложности, и не говорят, когда конкретно производство начнется. Сообщается лишь, что это произойдет "позже в 2009 г". <br /><br />В октябре 2008 г. компания заявила, что приступит к производству DMFC (Direct Methanol Fuel Cell) – топливных ячеек с прямой подачей метанола – до конца текущего финансового года, который заканчивается 31 марта 2009 г. Позже Toshiba подтвердила это намерение. <br /><br />DMFC позволяет вырабатывать электрический ток за счет реакции метанола, вливающегося в ячейку извне, с кислородом, находящимся в окружающем воздухе. Ранее и другие компании заявили о намерениях выпустить первые коммерческие продукты данного плана в текущем году. <br />
