Данной телевещательной компании, являющейся принимающей Игры стороной, требуются в этом случае права на вещание для обеспечения международной трансляции в формате HD.<br /><br />Нью-Дели, официальная столица Индии, которая будет принимать Игры 3-14 октября 2010 года, как сообщается, обновляет и модернизирует свое телевещательное оборудование и будет готова ретранслировать HD-сигнал как собственным телезрителям, так и телезрителям по всему миру. Главный инженер компании Doordarshan г-н Прасад сказал в связи с этим: «Имеющиеся в Prasar Bharati технологии преобразуются. Кроме того, компания старается подготовить хотя бы один high-definition (HD) канал в DTH (спутниковом) сервисе, который также сможет транслировать Игры».<br /><br />Сейчас у компании Doordarshan плотный рабочий график. До Игр остается 18 месяцев, и Doordarshan не только планирует модернизацию своих аналоговых трансмиттеров, но и добивается выделения квоты на модернизацию. Работы по созданию новых HD-студий в Дели и Мумбае планируется провести совместно с усовершенствованием технических центров в Ченнае и Калькутте.
