В последний день марта свет увидят два новых чипа для настольных систем – Core i7-975 и i7-950, а в середине апреля 2009 г. поспеют Core 2 Quad Q8400S и Q8400, сообщает Electronista. <br /><br />Core i7-975 с тактовой частотой 3,33 ГГц заменит i7-965 с частотой 3,2 ГГц, 3,06-гигагерцовый i7-950 – i7-940, работающий на тактовой частоте 2,93 ГГц. Стоимость процессоров составит $999 и $562 в партии из тысячи штук соответственно. <br /><br />К 19 апреля линейку процессоров для малогабаритных настольных систем пополнит модель Core 2 Quad Q8400S. Этот чип будет работать на тактовой частоте 2,66 ГГц, а его стоимость составит $245. После его выхода стоимость существующих решений Core 2 Quad S снизится. Цена модели Q9550S упадет до $320, Q9400S – до $277, Q8300S – до $213. В это же время будет выпущен Core 2 Quad Q8400 – аналогичный процессор, но с более высоким TDP. <br /><br />Кроме этого, 31 марта появятся новые процессоры Core 2 Duo, двухъядерные Pentium и Celeron по цене $53-133. Они будут рассчитаны на настольные компьютеры начального класса. <br />
