Hitachi выплатит штраф за удерживание цен на ЖК-панели

Hitachi Displays признала себя виновной в удерживании завышенных отпускных цен на ЖК-панели и согласилась выплатить штраф в размере $31 млн. Японский вендор поставлял панели по завышенным ценам американской компании Dell для установки в настольные мониторы и ноутбуки, произведенные с 2001 по 2004 гг., сообщает Associated Press.

Министерство юстиции США, занимающееся расследованием это дела, сталкивается с завышением цен на ЖК-панели далеко не в первый раз. После того как Hitachi выплатит штраф, общая сумма штрафов, выплаченных производителями панелей, составит более $600 млн. Ранее в аналогичных махинациях были уличены Sharp, LG Display и Chunghwa Picture Tubes. Они заплатили штрафы в размерах $120 млн, $400 млн и $65 млн соответственно.

Помимо государственных органов США, за ценообразованием на рынке ЖК-панелей следят регуляторы в Азии и Евросоюзе. Мировой рынок жидкокристаллических панелей оценивается в $70 млрд.
