Однако для того чтобы реорганизация вступила в силу, необходимо одобрение большинства держателей акций. «Мы дали нашим акционерам слишком мало времени», - говорят в AMD. Голосование решено было продлить до 18 февраля 2009 г. <br /><br />Напомним, в рамках достигнутой договоренности второй по величине производитель центральных процессоров AMD и ATIC, государственная компания ОАЭ, расположенная в Абу-Даби, создадут новое совместное предприятие, в которое последняя инвестирует $2,1 млрд и получит 55,6% акций. Еще $700 млн поступят на счет компании AMD. Компания AMD, со своей стороны, передаст в собственность совместного предприятия производственное оборудование и сама сконцентрируется на разработках. В течение 5 лет ATIC инвестирует еще $3,6-6 млрд для расширения производства. Другая компания – Mubadala Development – договорилась о покупке 58 млн акций AMD и получении места в совете директоров. <br /><br />При помощи всего этого AMD собирается выбраться из долговой ямы, связанной с приобретением ATI Technologies, и выйти в положительную финансовую отчетность, отсутствующую с 2007 г. <br /><br />
