Причина снижения кроется в мировом экономическом кризисе. Компания снижает стоимость накопителей банально, чтобы поднять спрос на них, сообщает hothardware.com. <br /><br />Intel X25-M появились в продаже около двух месяцев назад и стоили по $945 за 160-ГБ версию. Изготовлением флэш-памяти занимается IM Flash Technologies, совместное предприятие Intel и Micron. В серии M (мейнстрим, основной продукт) используется многоуровневая структура ячеек, в серии E – одноуровневая. <br /><br />До конца 2009 г. компания планирует расширить линейку SSD-накопителей моделями X25-E емкостью 128 ГБ и X25-M емкостью 320 ГБ. Последнюю планируется изготавливать с применением 34-нм технологии. <br /><br />
