Новая технология была представлена избранному кругу журналистов на специальной пресс-конференции в штаб-квартире компании в Японии. <br /><br />Фактически в новой системе обработки сигнала делается то же самое, что и в телевизорах Toshiba Regza, способных конвертировать сигнал стандартного разрешения в HD. Помимо повышения качества SD-сигнала, новая технология увеличивает глубину изображения, увеличивая контраст. Участников пресс-мероприятия результат, демонстрируемый на опытных образцах, весьма впечатлил. Когда новые ТВ появятся в продаже не говорится. <br /><br />В текущем поколении плазменных телевизоров Pioneer Kuro используется технология PureDrive. <br />
