Первой такое предложение сделала компания pureSilicon, представившая на выставке CES 2009 первые в мире твердотельные накопители, вмещающие до одного терабайта данных. <br /><br />Новинки принадлежат серии устройств Nitro, и позиционируются разработчиками в сектор высокопроизводительных вычислительных систем, для которых значимым параметром является не только скорость передачи данных, но и информационная емкость дисковой подсистемы. Стоит отметить, что устройства изготовлены в компактном 2,5-дюймовом форм-факторе, даже несмотря на свои уникальные характеристики. <br /><br />Основные характеристики терабайтных SSD-накопителей pureSilicon Nitro: <br />- 2,5-дюймовый форм-фактор; <br />- объем 1 Тб; <br />- поддержка интерфейса SATA с пропускной способностью 3 Гбит/с; <br />- скорость передачи информации – до 300 Мб/с; <br />- потребляемая мощность в режиме чтения/записи – 4,8 Ватт; <br />- потребляемая мощность в режиме ожидания – 0,1 Ватт; <br />- размеры устройств: 100,2 х 69,85 х 9,5 мм.
