Компании Toshiba и Hitachi на выставке электроники CES 2009 представили телевизоры, которые управляются при помощи жестов, сообщает PC World. Кроме того, новинки понимают сигналы обычного пульта дистанционного управления.
Представленные телевизоры улавливают движения человека при помощи инфракрасных датчиков, расположенных около экрана. Они фиксируют движения рук и преобразуют их в понятный для телевизора сигнал.

Пока телевизоры понимают лишь несколько жестов. В частности, подъем руки вверх означает включение и выключение телевизора. Для переключение каналов достаточно провести рукой из стороны в сторону. Громкость регулируется круговыми движениями.

Продемонстрированные на выставке телевизоры являются прототипами. Предполагается, что серийная модель телевизора, понимающего жесты, появится не раньше 2010 года.

Представители Toshiba и Hitachi подчеркивают, что намерены развивать технологию управления техникой при помощи жестов. Ожидается, что в будущем она позволит движением руки управлять, например, видеопроигрывателями.
