11 декабря Playstation запускает в сеть виртуальный мир Home. Внутри этого мира пользователи создают и редактируют свои аватары, с помощью которых в дальнейшем могут изучать мир и участвовать в новом обществе.
Данный сервис будет не только включать в себя различный развлекательный контент, но и предоставит возможность создавать свои собственные сообщества с другими пользователями по средствам функции "Club". Пользователи этих групп смогут запускать свои любимые online игры непосредственно с самого мира Home.
Сервис Home является бесплатным и загружается при нажатии иконки Home в сети PlayStation в колонке XMB. Сервис, конечно же, будет предлагать и платные дополнения.
Paramount Pictures и другие контент провайдеры будут демонстрировать в Home свой эксклюзивный контент.
