Обычные батареи на такое не способны и становятся неэффективными уже спустя один или два года. Для сравнения, современную аккумуляторную батарею без существенной потери емкости можно зарядить около 150 раз, в то время как батарею, разработанную Boston Power, - 1000 раз. <br /><br />По словам официальных представителей HP, новые батареи являются не только более эффективными, но и более дружественными к окружающей среде: в них отсутствуют поливинилхлорид, а также кадмий, мышьяк и ртуть. Новые элементы получили ряд «зеленых» сертификатов, в том числе благодаря возможности их переработки. <br /><br />Исследование HP показало, что около 40% пользователей в течение трех лет меняют аккумуляторную батарею ноутбука до 5 раз, при этом стоимость каждой из них может составлять порядка $150. Новая батарея будет стоить всего на $20-30 дороже обычной. Комплектоваться ею будут не все модели ноутбуков. <br /><br />
