Shinoda Plasma представила 125-дюймовый гибкий экран

Японская компания Shinoda Plasma показала свою последнюю разработку - 125-дюймовый гибкий плазменный экран, первые коммерческие модели которого должны появиться уже в следующем году.

Его прототип компания презентовала на выставке FPD International, где он привлек к себе немало внимания. Особенность прототипа не только в его размерах, но и в том, что в отличие от большинства аналогичных разработок он производится с помощью тонких стеклянных трубок, а не с помощью крупных и негибких кусков стекла. В результате его толщина составляет всего 1 мм. Плюс, прототип имеет сравнительно небольшой вес: 1,4 килограмма.

Кроме того, стоит отметить, что на сегодняшний день эта технология вряд ли подходит для домашнего использования, так как картинка имеет очень маленькое разрешение: всего 960х360. Ее разработчик добавляет, что первые коммерческие модели будут рассчитаны для использования в качестве информационных дисплеев.
