Sony: цена на PlayStation 3 не понизится к новому году

Разговаривая с сотрудниками VideoGamer.com на Лондонской Game 3.0 конференции, Ray Maguire - финансовый директор SCEUK(Английское отделение Sony) отметил, что у компании нет планов по снижению цены на PS3 в этом году. «Мы должны заниматься бизнесом, и должны быть уверены, что идем правильным путем, ради наших акционеров».
Далее он продолжил: «на данный момент существует вполне хороший спрос на PS3, и я думаю, что он сохранится и на новогодние праздники, особенно, если учесть уровень и качество игр, выходящих в это Рождество, я не думаю, что цена консоли будет играть какую-то решающую роль для покупателя».

Такое ощущение, что продажи в Англии «абсолютно удовлетворяют» компанию, несмотря на существенную разницу в цене между Xbox 360 и PlayStation 3. Такая позиция представляется достаточно смелой, учитывая нынешний экономический климат. Люди, скорее всего, будут приобретать что-либо в это Рождество, учитывая свои возможности.
С другой стороны Maguire подчеркнул, что дело идет, и акционеры довольны. Будет ли достаточно эксклюзивных тайтлов(LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2 и MotorStorm Pacific Rift)
