Кроме того, увеличение площади подложки, как ожидается, приведет к росту потребления подложек, рассчитанных на монтаж методом перевернутого кристалла (flip-chip, FC) на 15-20% в 2009 году.<br /><br />Как известно, Intel планирует интегрировать в CPU северный мост чипсета и GPU, так что количество потребляемых FC-подложек уменьшится, но возрастет количество слоев в них. Большая часть оцениваемых сейчас подложек имеет 10, 12 или 14 слоев, и Intel приняла 12-слойные подложки в качестве основного варианта. Площадь кристалла новых изделий на 14-15% больше, чем у современных процессоров. В чипах южных мостов также будет использоваться технология FC. Если говорить в терминах слоев, выход новых изделий на базе Intel Nehalem увеличит потребность в FC-подложках не мене чем на 33%.<br /><br />Интересно, что участники отрасли не исключают возникновения дефицита FC-подложек во второй половине 2009 года. Даже если Intel задержит выпуск новинок на квартал (сейчас он намечен на третью четверть 2009 года), скачок спроса на FC-подложки все равно будет значительным. <br />
