Речь, как пишет издание, идет о моделях с длиной диагонали экрана 20 и 24 дюйма. <br /><br />Обновление коснется, прежде всего, аппаратной составляющей. Источник полагает, что Apple iMac будут переведены на новую плафторму (Centrino 2) и унаследуют более мощные процессоры. Предполагается, что обновленные iMac будут представлены в течение месяца. <br /><br />Текущие iMac собраны на платформе Intel Santa Rosa, но с некоторыми изменениями. Так, если в обычных ноутбуках на этой платформе используется шина с частотой 800 МГц, то в компьютерах Apple частота увеличена до 1066 МГц. <br /><br />Предполагается также, что в будущем iMac будут комплектоваться четырехъядерными чипами. Скорее всего, они будут предложены после выхода Mac OS X Snow Leopard предварительно в 2009 г.<br />
