Портал  Variety дал некоторые объяснения касательно первой просьбы (где слово «пожалуйста» было упомянуто аж пять раз), изложенной в письме. Суть первой просьбы заключается в том, чтобы рецензенты позволили поиграть в  Fable 2 человеку, который вообще никакое отношение к играм не имеет, и в то же время узнать насколько подопытный впечатлился. Два последующих раздела посвящены хорошо разрекламированному игровому дизайну и, почему-то отсутствующему в самом начале, режиму онлайн кооператива.<br /><br />Питер Мулине, несомненно, дал некоторые объяснения в письме по поводу кооператива, сказав, что он будет добавлен вскоре после запуска. Теперь Variety обдумывает, как лучше сделать: подождать пока не выйдет онлайн кооператив, и тем самым задержать рецензирующие статьи, или все-таки выложить статьи с заметкой, поясняющей, что в данный момент кооператив не может быть протестирован. Итак, мы спросили Variety (хорошо известного своими обзорами фильмов и музыки): «какое решение принимают критики касательно фильма или музыки, когда их просят оценить незаконченный продукт?» На этот вопрос нам ответил игровой журналист Ben Fritz:<br /><br />«Я разговаривал с одним из наших кинокритиков, и он сказал, что обычно мы пишем обзор по полученной ранней версии, даже если она не финальная. Касательно фильмов, когда проект показывают публике на каком-нибудь фестивале, мы пишем по нему обзор, понимая, что коммерческий релиз может быть урезанный или что-нибудь в этом роде. Когда все-таки появляется коммерческий релиз, мы обычно не пишем новую рецензию, если проект не сильно изменился.<br />Что касается короткого ответа относительно Fable II, мы напишем рецензию в день ее выхода, даже если игра будет не завершена, в любом случае я смогу обновить и поправить некоторые свои мысли по игре позже, когда выйдет онлайн кооператив».<br />
