Компания Sony собирается в скором времени представить новый высокопроизводительный ноутбук серии VAIO AW, оборудованный 18,4-дюймовым ЖК-дисплеем с Full HD-разрешением 1920 x 1080 пикселей и такой же технологией, которая применяется в фирменных телевизорах BRAVIA.

Как сообщается, данная машинка станет первым в мире подобным продуктом, в котором одновременно установлены более скоростной 128-гигабайтный твёрдотельный накопитель и традиционный механический винчестер вместимостью 500 Гб, связанные RAID-функциональностью. "Сердцем" этого "мультимедийного монстра" является процессор Intel Core 2 Duo T9600, тогда как за качество обработки 3D-графики отвечает видеоадаптер NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT c 512 Мб памяти. Примечательно и то, что гигант, помимо всего прочего, оснащён встроенными двумя динамиками и сабвуфером, обладает оптическим приводом Blu-ray и снабжён интерфейсом HDMI.

Ожидается, что в продаже на территории Великобритании ноутбук появится ближе к концу текущего месяца, причём стартовая цена новинки составит порядка $1700, а в комплект поставки будут включены такие программные пакеты, как Adobe Photoshop Lightroom и Adobe Photoshop Elements.
